However, many caregiving Amsterdam UMC colleagues are not convinced yet that we, as top referral academic health care organization, should actually be involved in prevention. In fact, they feel there is an increasing gap between their more and more highly specialized clinical care and prevention. This is the moment for us to provide our colleagues with concrete examples and ideas! During our meeting, the Department of Strategy & Innovation at Amsterdam UMC will seek our insights on how to make this theme actionable. We will explore what it means to prioritize prevention within an academic hospital context, spanning care, research, education, and valorization.
